Health professional that are entrusted with task to treat patients are also prone to a number of disease and infections while working in a hospital or any other place of clinical services.  Health professionals with a weaker immune system are required to take special care while working in a hospital. In order to remain healthy, there should be a proper regime and control system as to check infection within a hotel premises and this program should start with infection control program.

The primary aim of Hospital Infection Control Program should be to spread information, surveillance procedures, prevention and control of nonsocomial infections in and around hospitals. According to a survey a Nosocomial infection affects nearly 40 million patients annually. An effective infection control program is consisted of the steps like observation and control activities under the supervision of the ablest professional. Provision of a trained hospital epidemiologist, reporting system for surgically wound infections to the related surgeons and physicians.

Apart from the infection control program the next important point of consideration to look at the health aspect is hygiene and freshness at the hospital. There should be a proper use of liquid cleanser inside as well as outside the hospital. Every cloth and equipment that comes into the contact with patient should be cleaned up and sterilize properly. The administration of the hospital should also take care that each and every staff of the hospital wash their hands properly and follows hand washing rules.

Another prevention that a health care staff should take is wearing gloves and gowns during duty hours. In case if during a medical process scissor is used and any other penetration is used then a health professional should wear a sterilized or latex glove and can be used during performing operations. There a proper sterilization should be done to all health instruments, in case insertion of medical device like urinary catheter or a tube is done into a patient then that area should be clean up using antiseptic like chlorhexidine soap in order to remove bacteria.

The health and cleanliness in hospitals is not only spread from the environment within hospital but also by visitors too that come into the hospital to meet patients. If a visitor is suffering from any disease then he should not come closer to a patient and caretaker too prevents them for coming closer to a patient. And above all a health professional should always stick to golden rule of health and hygiene that is washing one’s health that too in a vigorous manner rubbing surfaces of lathered hands with rinsing under a stream of water. By following above said measures a health care professional can remain healthy forever.
