Indiana State University was founded in 1865 as the Indiana State Normal School. It is a public school located in Terre Haute, Indiana. Applicants should have competed a variety of courses, including nursing care, mental health, children and families, microbiology, communication, and psychology.
Courses in the program include Nursing in Mental Illness, Nursing Care of Families in Stress and Crisis, and Population-Focused Community Health Nursing. Graduates are successful throughout the healthcare system, working in small clinics, emergency rooms, and large HMO centers.
